Baldwin County Circuit Clerk Jody Wise Retires

The 28th Judicial Circuit of Baldwin County would like to thank Circuit Clerk Jody Wise for her service to the courts and the citizens of Baldwin County over the last two decades. Ms. Wise has been a great public servant and has run the clerk's office in an efficient and professional manner during her tenure. Recently, Ms. Wise announced her decision to retire effective July 1, 2022.
By law, the position is to be filled by the Circuit Court Judges of Baldwin County. If you are interested in applying for appointment to become the Baldwin County Circuit Clerk, please submit your resume and cover letter to The Presiding Judge of Baldwin County, 312 Courthouse Square, Suite 21, Bay Minette, Alabama 36507. Candidates must be a resident of Baldwin County and should be familiar with the judicial system, the election process, and the duties and responsibilities of the Circuit Clerk. Although filled by appointment, the Circuit Clerk will run for election in 2024.
Applications will be accepted until March 31, 2022, interviews will be conducted by the judges in late April/May, and the appointment will be made by June 1, 2022 to ensure a smooth transition.
