There have been 119 years since a small group decided to settle on the Eastern Shore of Mobile Bay. On Friday, the Fairhope Museum of History and the Museum Friends group will hold a birthday party to commemorate those 119 years and the success of the Fairhope Single Tax Colony founded on Nov. 15, 1894.

Round Up Day will honor the city's founders with living history demonstrations, museum tours, birthday cake, a dance and other activities.

For more information on how to join in the festivities, call 251-929-1471 or visit www.facebook.com/FairhopeMuseumofHistoryFriends.
