Come join the fun on January 31, 2015 in Downtown Fairhope for the Inaugural Pirate Dash 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run! The Pirate Dash is hosted by Fairhope K-6 PTC and proceeds will benefit Fairhope Elementary School and Fairhope Intermediate School.

The 1-Mile Fun Run will begin at 9:00 a.m. and end at the Bluff.

On January 31 at 7 p.m. at the library, the Fairhope Public Library Chocolate & Champagne Fantasy fundraiser will feature the theme Winter Wonderland!  Attendees will have the opportunity to sample a wonderful array of savory Hors d’oeuvres and delectable desserts together with a delightful selection of wine and champagne.
This popular event will have several new components this year including a drawing for a Fabulous Gift Tower of Chocolate Delights that one lucky attendee will take home with them at the end of the evening (must be present to win), as well as a new specialty drink, the Frosted Sapphire Sparkler, that patrons will have the opportunity to sip and savor (one ticket per person will be provided at the door).  As in years past, the actors and staff of Theatre 98 will again participate, this time as “Winter Wonderland” characters in costume.
The Chocolate & Champagne Fantasy is the Friends primary fundraiser and the event’s main source of fund raising is obtained through the auctioning of donated items from the community.  The Friends greatly appreciate and wish to thank the companies and individuals who have provided the many unique and valuable items that will be featured in the Live and Silent Auctions.
Since there are limited tickets available, we urge you to go by the circulation desk at the library and secure your tickets for the event, which are $30 per person in advance. So make your plans, get your friends together and purchase your tickets - it’s sure to be an exciting and fun evening for one and all!
